Shangcheng District is the central urban area of Hangzhou. Meanwhile, it is the main carrier of this famous historical city. Shangcheng District has been putting great efforts to build industrial development platforms of international standards: 1km2 Great Hubin Business Area, 2km2 Fund Town of the South of Yuhuang Mountains and 3km2 Wangjiang New Town.
The Hubin Business Area is next to the West Lake, a world cultural heritage. It will be developed into “the most appealing business area” which possesses a batch of flagship stores of world-renowned brands like Apple as the main body. The Fund Town of the South of Yuhuang Mountains, which is located at the south of Yuhuang Mountains and the north of Qiantang River, is rising powerfully. It will be the largest characteristic small town of China accumulating capitals over one trillion within three years. The location of Wangjiang New Town is originally the largest shanty town of Hangzhou. More than 100,000 people will live here in the future. The environment which is suitable both for living and business also attracts Cisco, a Fortune Top 500 enterprise, to locate its headquarter here.
